I was also wondering about this (I'm German). It felt strange that French is in when there are so many more native Spanish speakers. But then again: I guess Hispanoamérica is not a big market for subscription based games, and Spain has only about 40 million inhabitants, France 65 million (plus Canadians).

But I'd really appreciate to have Spanish and thus more Spanish players in the game. As you said - it IS a world language and should not be neglected.

The reason French and English are the usual 'go-to' languages for translations, as far as Romance languages go, is because France is one of the few countries that don't require or put a major emphasis on learning English as a trade or business language. Same reason that a lot of U.N. documents will translate in English and French, and not Spanish or Italian. Spanish might be more common, but French stands on its own more often.

I think its because german and french are more of mmo players. That's what I am guessing and not a fact. Though I know a lot of hispanics or people that also speak spanish who will be playing this game, including myself (english,spanish and little italian)
