Let me paint you a picture of the problem. We lost a farm outside our keep, a large group of us proceeded to take it back by force. There were about 30 of us standing by the flag when I noticed an AD player peaking around the barn. I ran over and noticed him backing up to a group of 4 or 5 of his friends. They were trying to get me to move out of sight of my faction so they could swarm me.
So, when I look left, I see 30 friendlies, I look right, I see 5 enemies in a bad position. But, nothing I could do would easily get the attention of the 30 friendlies, or even one or two. I could have typed it out, but I'm not really sure how I could have quickly explained their position. I could have tried to attack and hoped the little + marker popping up upon my death was enough to alert them. What I ultimately did was wait it out. Eventually more of my faction came and we took them out.
I feel like this is stupidly unrealistic. If I could have typed /enemyspotted and my character would yell out "ENEMY!" and pointed her finger in the direction of my crosshair, the situation(and a lot of other situations) could have turned out a lot more interesting. I wouldn't really want a spotting mechanic where other people get markers, but just yelling out and pointing would do so much. In a perfect world your character would call out the faction and class, maybe call them horseman if mounted, emplacements, etc.

Also, on the loading screen for Cyrodiil it shows a battle between two factions holding banners. It would be really good for gameplay if a group over a certain size would get the option of having one person carrying a banner(instead of a weapon) for your faction. It could give people within a radius of that banner some kind of buff. But, I feel like the banners would also have a positive psychological effect on players, and help with strategy. Seeing your banner man ordered to retreat, or slain, would communicate that to the troops on the field. Alternatively if your banner suddenly charges for the gate, that's your queue to charge with them.
These are a couple small features that would make life a bit easier for the boots on the ground.
