Negative review of the beta in Ars Technica

Post » Wed Mar 19, 2014 4:37 am

Oh no, an Ars Technica reviewer found a quest bug, didn't find enough GW2 or FFXIV joy, and discovered that he can't beat a level 15 mob with a level 5 character.

This can only mean one thing, Zenimax needs to start over.

Or, it just means to ignore those kinds of reviews, because the only motivation for them is to be overly critical and not discuss TESO on it's own merits - and he even states in Paragraph three, that because the Elder Scrolls was the basis for TESO, it DESERVES criticism. Which is about as much a nonsense statement as one can make.

Lastly, I wonder if Rowan reported the Quest Bug Or just stood there for 15 minutes with his thumb up his butt?

I understand the reviewers opinion and I have to say that I to some extent agree. I would rather have the levels scale(as in cyrodill, only better) over the whole game. This would push the character progression more over to diversity rather than strength.

At this stage it is probably impossible to accomplish, but I still ask myself why they didn't do it in the first place.

That being said, I still love this game in its current state and I have chosen to subscribe.

Well it wasn't ESO you were playing then or our definitions of major differ. They could have instanced the climix of very quest. They could have instanced every public dungeon. Instead when we sneak into a bandit camp to kill a leader there's two dozen others doing the same thing and preventing the chief respawning. ZMO chose to do it that way. The Conan devs chose to instance an entire city every time i had a mission in it. The latter is a perfectly valid and some would say, preferable way to go.

Thats called a TAX not a license and if i remember correctly you have to pay a license fee to have screens on your windows for some reason.

The news is free now how you choose to view it or hear it might be another matter. But honestly who are we kidding the news has been corrupt for years once they found out they could make money from it when CNN started up. Now its so biased depending on who the backers of the channel are and if news is not reported to their liking they pull their ads from the channel. that should tell you something right there.
