ROFL, I fixed that.
ROFL, I fixed that.
I think the "convert armor style to imperial" option is really cool--haven't seen an option like that before.
Same, i wasn't as impressed with the imp race as i expected but i love that feature and i love the armor except for the heavy pants, needs more metal on them. I was told it will be account wide not just for the imperial character which i truly love. I made some Veteran Rank 1 armor just to see if the preview was correct and it look great i also created a legendary chest piece that on the templar turned it blue instead of the gold. Not crazy about the gold, i really prefer the chrome look of the DK, too bad its like that it almost makes me want to roll a dk lol.
I misread what the Imperial race was about, a friend set me straight. I thought you get to pick any race to be Imperial and play in any faction. Example.. I was thinking an Imperial Orc etc. I sort of wished they had done it that way.
The racials are great depending on what class your playing.
While the "Imperial race" is a bit of a misnomer, they are supposed to be their own race; as they have been since Morrowind.
Yes, true but they have many races fighting in the legion. Maybe they should of gave us a choice, play straight up Imperial or another race inside the Imperial Legion. Many Orsimer fight in the legion because they want to see Orsinium back. I had a whole back story made up but I wish they would of gave us a choice.
I was going to play a Breton but if that health proc that the Imperials have turns out to be any kind of decent, I will probably be Imperial instead. I am also strongly considering Dunmer or Nord...
I think they did a great job with the Imperial edition. It is nice that I can use the Imperial armor on any of my classes to give me more options. I am happy that they didn't make the Imperial too OP as that would be a pay 2 win feature that I would never support. Having a mount is really nice if you are an explorer type and I am all for supporting the devs so they can keep on pumping out amazing content for me to enjoy in the future. The mara rings encourage group play which is smart since building relationships in an mmo encourages players to stick around more long term. Will they be leveling up faster? yes of course, but they will still want to finish the content if they are smart. For me, I prefer to play at level so I will likely not use the rings as outleveling an area forces you to play bored or jump ahead.
This is where it becomes quite confusing. The Imperial race and the Imperial Legion are two different things. The Imperial Legion does not exist yet in the Elder Scroll Online; as it doesn't come about until the conquest of Tiber Septim, during the third era.
Ahhh thanks, I know some lore but not deep into the lore. I was learning about what era the Al Dominion was in during this lore time and It's the 1st correct?
I've only ever played as an Imperial in Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. Once I played as an Altmer in Skyrim, but that was the only exception.
I'm new to MMO's, so I don't see any difference between the races.
The events of The Elder Scrolls Online take place during the second era (2E 583); the Imperial Legion isn't formed for another 300 years. If you're still interested, there's a full timeline here; http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline

I did like the look of their armor for sure. I am leaning towards a Templar as my main wearing light armor and I actually do like the look of the Imp light armor. In the long run you can make any race work with any class. I say go for looks, lore or what ever floats your boat. Don't worry about the min/max stuff.
Correct on dominion, far as we know now.
Not sure when the legion was founded, Reman the 3rd must have had some sort of legion and that was in the first era.
I liked that I could make an Imperial that looks like a child from multiple parts of the Empire. I was able to make someone who could easily pass for an Imperial with a Redguard background. I could not get the nose as flat as I wanted, but as I'm an American mutt, I settled for skin, lips and hair. Kenneth Ealy would be proud.
