Frequent savegame issues

I've been loving Morrowind as much as hating it recently, as my savegames become corrupted or at least unloadable really often.

It started only a short while ago, maybe a week in Morrowind time. The issue is that my game crashes after loading a savegame, a second or so after being in-game. If I open the menu or inventory in that second, nothing happens until I resume the game.

I didn't have this problem before and it might have to do with a mod, although I wouldn't know which one. I've got a puristy-sparse list of mods, half of them texture/mesh replacers, no MSGO. I use MGE:XE, MCP and MPP. When I get home I could post a list.

The thing is I'm not sure if my savegames are actually corrupted. It happened with quicksaves first, but recently normal saves started to be affected. I cleaned them with Wrye Mash by updating the mod list and doing a 'Repair all', to no avail.

Next to this I've had a lot of loading problems in general, the game crashing after the first load and working after the second. I don't know if this is connected, but a solution would be really helpful. My Morrowind folder is in C:/Bethesda Sofworks.

Any ideas would be appreciated! Losing progress all the time is no enjoyable way to game.

And, it's fixed! When I had load problems before I stumbled upon this thread (forums.nexusmods /index.php?/topic/975637-save-crash-on-load/), but it turned out Shut Up! wasn't the problem. Turns out it is now. Apparently you don't even have to be near an NPC to get your game crashed.

Seems I'll be trading silence for stability then.
