Instead of making another thread about crafting or list reasons why F2P model destroys mmo's, or discuss why racials do matter vs playing what you like which I can concede points to both opinions. Or making a thread about what we're going to do with Our 12 inch diecast Molag Bol statues, I've decided to make a thread asking about mechanical keyboards.
The forums of the internet are dark secret places, where knowledge is hidden and must be dug for in order to be obtained so here I am digging for knowledge. To start off i'll list what my PC i built is. I've got a decent MOBO gigabyte Z77X-ud3h, an I5-2320 good enough but will be upgraded when i have money, and a MSI OC gamer edition gtx 760 in addition to 2tb, 8g ram its a pretty nice build from 2 years ago. To top that off I have an optimus prime edition Razer death adder mouse(it was on sale at frys ) A razer Tiamat 7.1 surround headphones .... and a no brand named membrane keyboard probably bought at walmart or someones hand me down....
Theres nothing wrong with this keyboard... Its just well ive had it for years probably close to 5 its... pretty grody.. Recently I've been looking at keyboards at bestbuy and frys and other places. I had bough a Logitech G710 keyboard which felt great as far as mechanical keyboards go.. The only problem is I'm used to feeling for the edge of the keyboard to find the esc key as i'm a touch typist I don't look down when i type i just type. instead i kept hitting G1 and my hands were cramping cause of the macro keys as they were causing me to misalign constantly.
So I returned it, and now I continue my search. I've recently been researching mechanical switches for keyboards (mx cherry brown blue red black) And plastic types for the keys ABS vs PBT. I liked the way the G710 felt and I researched and found out it was a MX cherry - brown switch. And i've read that PBT key caps are more durable vs abs. My problem is I'm trying to find a good keyboard brand that doesn't have macro keys on the left,PBT, and mx brown switches. If anyone has suggestions on brands I'd be really happy to hear about your keyboard experiences as each and every person has a different story to tell. Thank you for your time.
