News Flash: Legion character hero of the NCR

I decided I wanted to play a Legion character. In my warped RP mind, I decided that my character is a scout/spy for the Legion, taking the courier job as cover so he can move freely about. Well, we know how that ended up, eh?

I even modded the game so that he has a set of non-faction Legion armor to wear when he's not in disguise.

After doing the basic Goodsprings stuff, (but not saving Ringo), he decided to infiltrate the Powder Gangers, and began the "I fought the Law" quest line. As it currently stands, the Bison Steve is cleared out and he's working on "My kind of Town" restoring law to Primm. Because he's action oriented, he's been unable to turn Primm Slim into a sheriff, so next best thing, is trying to make Meyers from the NCRCF into the town clown.

Talking to Meyers was easy because my character's accepted by the Powder Gangers due to helping Eddy. Before proceeding to the Mojave Outpost after a pardon for him, I wanted a bit better weapon for fighting NCR troops. Accordingly, I stole the LMG from the deathclaw den, and in the process, wiped out the deathclaws (I'd earlier gotten the hunting rifle from Boulder City).

Now, on the way to the Mojave Outpost, I came to the scene of the caravan battle by the NCRCF, and my buddies, the Powder Gangers opened fire on me. I took them out with a couple of spears, but was mightily puzzled... but only for a moment, because the "Radio Ranger" was apparently right behind me. I guess they thought he was with me, or vice versa.

Anyway, he gave me the radio, and his kissy face "You're not alone out here" and suddenly my legion character is accepted by the NCR, neutral to Powder Gangers, and liked in Goodsprings.

On to the Mojave Outpost, a most successful spy....

That's a fun way to play a Legion character. You can actually do quite a bit for the NCR, while secretly planning to stab them in the back when the time is right.

Yeah, I'm having a lot of fun with it. I find it colors my thinking considerably when I consider my options and my course of action. Now, I've finished "I fought the law"" and at the end of that, I fought both the NCR and the Powder Gangers at the same time. I though a good agent would weaken both sides as much as possible. Anyway, now I'm a "soft-hearted thug" to both the NCR and the Powder Gangers. Time to go to Nipton, and follow Benny, I think.

Frumentari Legion characters are always more fun than full-on legion characters. go to the divide if you finally get your legion rep higher than your NCR, Ulysses has some awesome dialogue regarding it that really makes you feel like Frumentari
