Question on Sneak-ing

Post » Wed Mar 19, 2014 8:45 pm

I did not try this out at all and so I ask.

How good is sneaking in ESO?

can players from oposite factions really not see you

until they step on the Char or is there a distance factor.

Yes I know, there are spells that can discover Sneakers...but that means one suspects

someone is there in the first place.

My real question is actually; as a PvE player in Cyrodil how save would it be

sneaking arround to harvest resources?

Thanks for your comments.

You would be pretty safe unless you let them get fairly close, throw on some medium armor and they pretty much have to be on ya, or throwing out mage light.

As a Level 12 Nightblade, my character could sneak past just about anything, at least in PvE.

It's really effective from my experience. If you stay out of their line of sight players won't spot you until they're right up on you. In the open you have to be more careful though. Once someone gets close to you with a line of sight, it's only a matter of seconds before you get spotted. The method I was using to great effect was the nightblades invisibility skill. I would wait until the crosshair started to change then pop invisible for the 2.5seconds while they run/ride past. By that time they've lost the line of sight and sneak is still active.

The key is never being seen. Sneaking isn't very effective against people trying to run you down.

throwing on medium armor does nothing for you , unless you have skill points into the medium armor skill line. just thought i would clarify this. if you do have these points into the skill (it increases sneak visual range making people have to be dang near ontop of you to see you) then you can bet that its really safe.

sneaking saved my archer in cyrodiil more times than I can count...if your entire zerg got wiped and people start scattering and running away while the enemy zerg hunts them down all you need to do is sneak find a cozy spot and enjoy the show xD

as long as they dont literally walk into you by accident or use magelight near your position you will remain hidden....ofc you cant launch attacks, otherwise you will be locked out of stealth for a certain amount time
