Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty (Abe's Oddysee remake)

Post » Sat Mar 22, 2014 7:49 am

Remember Abe? His Oddysee (1997) is being rebuilt from scratch for Ps3, Ps4, Vita (this spring) also Pc, Mac, Linux, WiiU (later tba) on new engine.

They say if this remake sells at least 250,000 copies (that shouldn't be that hard imo) they can also make a remake of Abe's Exoddus, and if they hit 500,000 they can start making a brand new Abe game :hehe:

Oddworld series creator Lorne Lanning: "People keep asking me, 'Why don't you Kickstart Oddworld? You could get at least $1 or $2 million.' And I'm like 'What would I do with a couple million on Kickstarter on a new Oddworld title?' Not much. I could redo Exoddus for a couple million. I could do that. But a new title, which means new characters doing new things and controls that are great - that's where the real time and expenses come from."

Munch's odyssey was awesome for the xbox. It is the only one I actually managed to beat. The playstation games were so confusing to me. Also they were creepy as hell.

Oooooh it's Abe!

Totally buying this, but I'll have to wait for the PC version. For me Abe is like childhood, Exoddus was one of the first games I played on PC.
