Templars incase your missed it on reddit.

Question: Can you speak to the plans for Templar's and magicka regeneration after the change to Restoring Spirit? Currently reports from the PTS are that they are severely limited in late game content due to resource issues. Other classes have "mana battery" type skills, but Templars do not.

As someone who is going to play a Templar regardless, I'm hoping you can talk about this?

Answer:

From ZOS

"Alright, so I know this is a tricky one, because the old restoring spirit passive was extremely flexible and powerful. I am very sensitive to the fact that the changes we make can sometimes have an effect on the builds that you spent a long time developing. I promise you we each take balance changes very seriously.

The reason for the change to the restoring spirit had more to do with how it scaled as players progressed through Veteran ranks (especially beyond rank 10) than with how it was performing in the level 1 - 50 experience. We considered a few options for altering that value, but ultimately, we decided on a % reduction to all costs gives the class a lot of flexibility and scales very well in the long term.

I guess that doesn't answer your specific question: can I speak to the plans for Templar's Magicka recovery after that change? Short answer is, it's something I am actively looking at, but i don't want to speak to specific changes just yet until we are fully confident in the design and implementation. I hate not be able to give you details just yet, but I wanted to at least let all the Templar's know that I am aware of the feedback and looking into it.

Cheers!"

Figured not everyone would of seen this and pretty good information.

Yep saw that with great interest. This confirms my belief that rolling a Templar to heal is going to be a good move because by the time it makes a difference, it will likely get the modifications it needs to regain competitiveness with sorc for endgame healing.

I don't think they are trying to make people not play a class and am confident they will balance things out. I've seen it go both ways with certain MMO's, I will be playing Templar and not worrying about it.

Lets just hope they dont do a SOE with it...

In Planetside 2 they kept me playing with the hopes of infiltrator getting buffed and fixed.

The first update was scheduled in march 2013, but was delayed several times and finally released on february 2014.

BUT it was incomplete, very little content and no fixes to the problems the forums had been crying over since release.

Im so glad that ESO is releasing now so I can finally be free of it.

I seemed to read into it that post nerf late game Templars are more powerful than Sorcs at healing but early/mid game they are lackluster.

Be grateful there's no Helm's Deep in TES lore. You could log in one day and find your class is a womble.

I'm pretty sure Templars are supposed to be more powerful (slightly) in healing than all other classes, since it's the only the class that has a built-in healing tree. All the other classes have to become pole dancers to heal.
