How do i tell if my version is imperial?

Post » Sat Mar 22, 2014 2:01 pm

So I bought the game off gamefly because they have 20% off all digital purchases. the email confirmation from gamefly says the game is the imperial edition however the email from the elder scrolls confirmation says this:

Thank you for redeeming your pre-order code for The Elder Scrolls? Online. You're now registered for The Explorer's Pack, which includes the following digital rewards:

  • The ability to play as any race in any alliance
  • The Scuttler vanity pet
  • Exclusive treasure maps
  • 5 Days Early Access

You'll receive these digital rewards when you first log-in to The Elder Scrolls Online game at official launch. We'll also contact you at your account's registered email address with information about early game access as we get closer to game release in April 2014.

Be sure to check our official site, http://elderscrollsonline.com/, for the latest news and information.

If you have any questions about your pre-purchase, you can contact us athttp://help.elderscrollsonline.com/ and we'll be happy to assist you.

Please keep this email for your records.

Warm Regards,

The Elder Scrolls? Online Team

Sorry for the crazy formatting, dont know how to get rid of these white lines..... can anyone tell me if their confirmation email was diffrent?

also, when i look at the my account page, the box art for the game i see is the brown box art, which is indicative of the standard edition.

I don't know honestly.

I had the same thing. I think the Imperial code comes in the box itself?

I believe if you pre-order the Imperial Edition for a console, you'll get a code to redeem. I also think the Imperial stuff should be DLC as well because I want the Imperial Edition DLC but don't want to spend the $100 on the statue and other merchandise. What I mean is like the one Imperial Edition for the PC.

If it says 5 days early access and you bought it from GMG it'll be Imperial edition

You should get the game key closer to release but from what I've been led to understand in order to get the imperial edition contents like imperial race, mount you don't need that key so you'll be able to play the imperial edition during early access so long as you have the 5 day early access key registered.

The game key gives you is the 30 day game time.

I might be wrong though.

Greetings *******,

Well if doesn't say anything about the Digital Imperial Edition, in your email from ESO (if that is indeed verbatim from them). Have a look at the message above from Sledgemoto and you'll see some differences between yours and theirs. However, if Gamefly said it was the Digital Imperial Edition one can only assume it is.

Go to https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/users/account sign in, and check on just what you have too might be a prudent option.

Oh and when pasting from an external source, try right-clicking and selecting 'paste as plain text', that should help with formatting issues such as white highlighting

I know how, and it svcks. You have to open a support ticket with Bethesda, then explain the problem 3 to 4 times to people that speak english as a second language until they forward you to a manager who instantly verifies it to you. took me over a week.

Here is the last response I got. It solved my issue 100%

Greetings Daniel,
Thank you for contacting the Elder Scrolls Online Team. I've reviewed the emails between you and our agent Alfonza and am here to assist you further. Entitlements on the account management page do not distinguish between 3 and 5 days Early Access. This is confusing on our part, and I do apologize. I can definitely assure you 100% that you have 5 Day Early Access on the account linked to .

if you look at the billing history tab on my account it says if you have 3 or 5 days, mine does say 5... but i still see nothing indicating imperial

soo.... i just looked at the pre order screen for a standard edition on elderscrolls.com... it says 5 days now.. soo they basically baited and switched us as now standard editions get 5 days like imperials....

check it out...
