So does that mean I have them, because I downloaded GOTY from Steam, and I'm going to be pretty cheesed off if I find out I've had them all along.

Looks like nobody knows. You may have to wait till you get it to find out.

The GOTY edition only has Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine. It does not come with any additional DLC. The Knights of the Nine Downloadable Content Collection I reffered to above is a separate disc you can purchase that has KotN and all DLC except for Fighter's Stonghold, which was released after the disc was.

Nothing special, just the additional DLC. It doesn't even come with a booklet (but you don't really need one anyway).

Lots of confusion here.

Simple answer, A "Jewel case" is a standard CD case as opposed to a standard DVD case which is a "Keep case"

The type of case is the only difference between the two editions.

Get a grip! It's only a storage case, not the end of the world. There's absolutely no need to get hysterical about it. You're acting like a 5 year old having a temper tantrum. I prefer the jewel cases myself, they're easier to store since they take up less room.

Yeah, the only difference should be that the jewel case edition doesn't come with the box. Jewel cases are convenient, and given that on Amazon the box version is $30 more it's way worth it.

Why would you care about the box it comes in?
What matters is if the game is fine.

So what? If it breaks, go down to your nearest business supply or computer store and buy a box of them for a couple of bucks. It's not like replacement jewel cases are hard to come by. And if you're careful with them, there's absolutely no reason why they would break in the first place. Just don't use them like a frisbee. And no, it's virtually impossible to have it break during transport after you buy it. They're put into envelops with bubble wrap inside so it would have to take a great deal of abuse along the way to end up being broken. You're making a very big deal over a very minor thing here, you really need to grow up a bit. There's far worse things to be concerned about in life.
