Cheers, got a question, if i am playing AD, would it make sense to join a trading guild on DC side?

For PvP purpose we'll be based in DC yes, but otherwise we'll be cross alliance.

Guildchat is cross alliance, and since mailing stuff is based on account, there's enough possibilities for trading between alliances.

I didn't test the guild store, so I'm unsure if you can or cannot use it if you are playing a character that's in a different alliance, but it would not really make sense to not have that ability. Otherwise it's just an extra few steps:

- log out on other alliance character

- log in with DC alliance character

- use guild store

- put items in personal bank

- log out DC alliance character

- log in other alliance character

- grab bought stuff out of personal bank

So, I hope the system just allows you to skip all those steps and buy from the guildstore of a guild your account is part of, no matter which alliance you are in.

We're based in DC yes (every guild has to pick a 'home' alliance) but we're a cross-alliance guild, with officers in all of the factions afaik.

Key things to remember if you're playing a faction other than your guild's 'home faction' is:

  • You still have access to the guild store at all times.
  • Once the 'home faction' capture and hold a keep - public customers still have access to your wares in our guild store.
  • Guild bank access remains the same.

The only thing that it precludes you from doing is fighting with us in PVP (unless you roll an alt). PVE questing should be no problem as we have members in those other factions to play with anyway

Do you, dear leader, have plans for the ITC to capture and hold a keep for those purposes?
