If imperial passive got nerfed?

Post » Mon Mar 24, 2014 10:02 am

Lately ive been seeing a lot of talk about the imperial passives being overpowered. That its not fair that they get that huge boost in health and stamina compared to the other racial passives. Some people want this to be nerfed.

That said do you think that would be fair? I say this because the only reason i spent money on the imperial edition is because of those passives. I would hate to see a nerf on this. I dont see the passives being that OP. They are great but other races have just as good or even better passives.

Funny, OP's post doesn't feel like he's really looking for a good discussion but rather a "I won't be able to play as Imperial and thus they need to be nerfed".

I have not heard about this yet, but be assured many things will change over the next little while. ESO is a brand new game. The developers are now and will be, in the future, changing things to, hopefully, improve game play.

So far I have seen post about: sorcere are op , bow are op , DK are op , kajiit are op , imperial are op , and some other races. The game is not out yet and I can't understand why there are so many people whining about stuff that was intended to be that way. Just wait for after launch when the majority of players reach max level and some test can be done to verify the unbalance of the game.

People are always asking for the race/class they don't play to be nerfed... funny how that is! :)

What are you talking about?

Argonians should be nerved first! They swim too fast and dangle those big, healthy things to our women to woo them

Seems to me they did a good job with the imperials as they needed 3 factions and that's awkward when there's 10 races. So they found a way to keep ten races and make some extra coin, works for me.

Yeah, I did get the Imperial version, although I am thinking of playing a Bosmer (Wood Elf). Normally in Skyrim I mainly choose a Breton but we'll see.

As for overpowered I'd be surprised if they were truly overpowered as that would make no sense what-so-ever.

Can we stop bringing up "nerfing" crap, before the actual release of the full game?

I bought the imperial edition but most likely will be going with a dual wielding Dark Elf Templar since i like DE passives over imperials , so just because you bought the Imp edition doesn't mean you have to be a Imperial. But its was worth it to me to have the extra options even though i wont use some of them right out of the gate. Later on , who knows what i may use or not use.

In my case, I bought the digital imperial edition because it seemed it would be interesting to occasionally play a character with imperial background, their crafting style looks interesting, and they have a nice white horsey.

In all the TES games, the physical appearance and historical background of the race weigh far more heavily than the passive abilities when I'm in the character creation menu, choosing the race for my next character.

They're not overpowered. They are on an even playing field just like the rest of the racials. Everyone has their advantages and disadvantages.
