How do you all do it?

For instance I am working on studying for a certification but it is hands on, so I am following a book with labs but it is not working as it should. Unknown reasons and because certain things are provided as automated methods I cannot manually make the lab happen. I cannot pass this by pure memorization but I am frustrated with the text, labs, and inability to locate help though different channels. I keep gettign told to take a break but I cannot keep traking a break or doing something else or I will never get this over with.

The other issue is training is too expensive, and although it may pay for itself, it is far too much for me to pay right now so it is not an option. YouTube does not have anything that is not in a different lanaguage so I am stuck.

Any tips for managing the furstration but retaining as much as possible when things do not work as they should for no dicernable reason?
