Title says it all. After the last stress test me and a few friends all pulled the trigger on purchasing PS4's. And now we wait...

Would not hold my breath I gave up on consoles when I learned the require a separate sub. As most people did.

What separate sub do you speak of? PS+? I don't think you need PS+ to play on the PS4, but if you do, I am already a subscriber, so I don't see what the deal is. PS+ is an excellent service anyway, although there isn't too much on the PS4 for it, there are a ton of free games on the PS3.

Yes it will. Xbox gold has nothing to do with ESO. You require a separate sub just for ps4 mega server. Not like regions such as NA and EU where one sub works for both. Besides who owns a ps4 without ps+ no one that's who, same goes for one and gold. Besides Titanfall had proved hands down live network is far superior.

Personally I think seperate subs are very lame it should be one account regardless of region or plstform. I believe that ZOS will recieve a wake up call by the end of summer and agree with me here once they see the terrible population on consoles because of this.

Wrong. A PS+ membership will not be required to play ESO on the PS4. It does not matter what you think of who will and won't already have a PS+ sub, it's not required.

I believe you are talking about the $15 monthly sub? That isn't a "separate" or "extra" sub. It is the same sub all people will pay to play the game. It is true that there is no cross platform play, so people on xbox, ps4, and pc will all be on separate servers, but there is no secondary subscription required.

I am not taliking about ps+ it is 100% meaninless to eso and so is xbox hold.

You still have to pay the $15 a month sub and ONLY get access to the ps4 megaserver. That is what I mean by seperate. Want to start on PC and also play ps4 then you pay twice ... seperate.

I agree with the bolded bit to a degree. I just don't see there being that many console users that are gonna sub up in relation to the PC/MAC population. No proof or anything, just my gut feeling on it. One sub should be enough as you the consumer would have to flit the cost of the game on other platforms.

But then i do see a practical reason for the division of the potential playerbase as well. As time goes on, the PC/MAC platform is going to be able to receive technical updates and the like as PC/MAC technology continues to advance. The console platforms, as state of the art as they are now, are essentially tech dead ends who's life cycles are finite. No need to tie down all of your customers when you don't need to, you end up in FFXI territory then.

Glad to hear other thinking the same. Makes a person feel sane. I do think these next gen consoles will out live ESO even if they are finite I mean the 360 has had like 5 iterations and has come a long way and will recieve support and new games until 2016 so its not like they are slouches in that regard.

I dont understand why people are crying about double subscription for console. Who doesnt have a console on live these days. On PS4 you dont need psn + to play ESO but i will still buy PSN + every year. Anyway, i just dont get it... i would be suprised to see how many people has a console with no xbox live or PSN +.

Speak for yourself, a lot of people I know are actually switiching from pc to consoles, for many reasons such as more comfortable (tv and couch for long hours), more friends playing (since not everyone can afford high end pc to play high end game in max settings) everyone has the same quality (consoles has the same specs pc varies) no add-ons from what I know, another is because they think the pc is being rushed and will cause problems though I think it will be fine, hopefully,etc.

Also ps4 players don't need to pay double while xbox players (me) have to pay xbox live too but since I use live anyways to play other games and use other services I don't mind at all.

I will bet my left nut that eso is forced to merge accounts ie. One sub all platforms or go f2p in onr year time. Its a safe bet, think about it enforcing 3 subs for the exact same game triples the f2p chances.
