eso.exe - System Error - Missing Dll?

Post » Wed Mar 26, 2014 9:28 pm

Hi I just finished building my pc and I transferred the ESO to this computer, it verified all the files and when I went to press play it came up with
"The program can't start because D3DCOMPILER_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
I have DirectX 11 on the computer, my GPU is fully updated. Anyone know how I can fix the problem? Thanks

Have you tried the repair function on the launcher?

You can try installing the latest DirectX as well, sometimes files get borked or a certain version refuses to run - DO NOT DOWNLOAD the .dll stand alone from anywhere.

I'm sorry i read that wrong, as i thought it was a file in ESO giving you an issue, not a file on your computer. I would google it and go from there, but do not download any files to replace the .dll.

You can have multiple versions of direct x installed at once, sometimes when you get that sort of error it is because you don't have a file from an earlier version. Installing an earlier version will not hurt.
