hmm I know nothing about macs but what kind of laptop are we talking about. I think we're dealing with a lesser of two evils situation here. Macs aren't really viable gaming machines and a pc laptop probably won't be able to run a high end game,

Even if it has the specs, the heat alone would be rough.

i would definitely go with PC because if you go with mac you wont get the direct x specific goodies plus mac hardware really blows in terms of video performance on anything but a select few games - Intel Iris anyone? no thanks.. lol

What you get for your money with a mac vs a pc (-gamer edition-)

Ludicrously expensive macbook pro at best buy - spend 2500+ USD get 12 fps on high in ESO 128 mb intel iris pro 2 graphics card

Inexpensive laptop pc - spend 799 at bestbuy get 40 - 85 fps on high in ESO 2 - 3 gig GDDR5 128 - 256 bit Nvidia gt - gtx graphics card

OMGWTFBBQS APPLE get with the program!

I vote for:

Sell both and get a PC. But that is just me, laptop are for web browsing and email and that junk. PC is for gaming.

Seeing as PC stands for personal computer, a laptop is a PC.

What you are referring to is a desktop PC.

PC........Macs are for hipsters. Expensive and trendy and underpowered for their price.

If they are both similarly specced, I suggest you go with the pc.

People had huge problems with their macs in the beta.

The upside to Macs is that the OS uses less resources.

The downside is all the problems you see when you try to game on one.

DO NOT BUY FROM BESTBUY! You will get ripped off. Go to Newegg or Tigerdirect or Amazon.

Definatly pc:

A: cheaper

B: more Choiche of games/cheaper software.

C: Better hardware for smaller money.

But if an Laptop then please be informed that it is not easy to upgrade them by your self . If not even impossible.

And the repaircosts are not cheap to.

No, not really. I've bought things from Best Buy so many times for pretty good deals.

Thanks for expressing your immaturity and fail to start a flame war and argument. It's degenerates like you who are disgraces to humanity.

There's always an exception or two but generally anything pc at bestbuy is overpriced. You can find way better deals on tigerdirect or newegg

I price laptops all the time because I am in the hunt for one for school and you NEVER get a good deal at Best Buy, including the online store which is only slightly less than the box store. I can find laptops on Newegg that are more than twice as powerful as anything you will get at Best Buy for the same price or even cheaper.

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro, and ESO runs better on the Windows 7 side (its a dual-boot system) than the Mac OS side

Mac's have their strengths, but gaming is not one of them. :)
