I do not seem to be able to add items, NPC's etc in Dawnguard/Dragongorn by using the console . None of the ID #'s are recoginized by the game . Example, some of the "soul gem fragments" for the Reaper's lair were not available and when I tried to add them the game did not seem to recoginized the numbers I looked up in the UESPWiki . Also I tried to replace an NPC that had disappeared and that # was not recognized either .

Is there a way around this ?

You will probably have to check your load order to determine the first two numbers for the DLC. In the example below, the IDs for Dawnguard start with 03 and the IDs for Dragonborn start with 07. This will differ depending on which DLC/mods you have installed.

Example load order:

00 Skyrim.esm
01 Update.esm
02 Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp
03 Dawnguard.esm
04 Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp
05 HearthFires.esm
06 Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp
07 Dragonborn.esm
08 Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp

Can't find this on the UESP but the official wiki has this page for "reaper gen fragments" http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Reaper_Gem_Fragment

Each one has a different ID, each listed with "xx" at the start, where "xx" represents the first two digits which will be taken from your DLC's place in the load order - easiest way to find this out in-game is to type

Help "dwarven bolt"

Or another item unique to Dawnguard. You should get the ref ID for that item displayed, simply take the first two digits and use them in place of the xx on the item you want.
