the first 30 days start on launch, and are included with the box price.
so basically the box price for standard was 45 + 15 for the sub.

So will people be spending the first 30 minutes on Sunday entering in their personal and credit/debit card data?
Simple: give the details, subscribe, cancel the subscription . 1st month free. Worked almost everywhere.
But some companies still are wanting money. In that case i allways want my complete money for the unwanted 2nd month back.
Most will have done it quite a few times before(ordering stuff from Amazon, paying bills, hell-ordering pizza), i'm betting 5 min at most.
If they dont offer various way to pay for subscription, they're idiots.
I want to use Paypal, for example. What "billing info" am I supposed to give at launch? I want to pay whatever sum I deem necessary while logged into my account (3 months, 6 months, whatever) and then get to play for that amount of days. No credit card information floating around ZOS servers just waiting to be hacked.
Giropay is the same in green if you got an giro card(allways can get money with that card from your banking account) account. But it is safer and more trustable then paypal.
Hehe.
"THEY BETTER HAVE BURGERS!!! THIS IS A HUGE WASTE OF MY TIME IF THEY DON"T HAVE BURGERS!!!!!"
"They have burgers, we're going to Burger King"
"......well as long as they have burgers...."
If it takes you 30 minutes to fill in credit card info I'll see you at level 50 in .. six or seven years.
You might want to re-think "5 min at most" when taking into account more than 500k people attempting to enter their personal data and credit/debit card info worldwide within the same narrow time frame.
Has there been a beta or stress test of ZOS's customer and billing database software system yet?
Are all those ppl on your PC and somehow making you take 30 min to fill out a few fields and hit submit?
Sorry, i don't buy it.
Now being a bit more serious, if your problem is that it may take the automated processors time to sort tons of ppl submitting info at the same time; i'll grant you that. But i'm sorry, its not gonna take 30 min.
Mostly, i think you are just wanting something to gripe about, and that's fine. But don't expect ppl to buy it or just let it stand without commenting themselves on it.
Worst case scenario perhaps but customer service databases do go down. If you've never played an online game where that happened, it makes me wonder how many you've played.
I was subbed with the worse Customer Care providing MMO ever, FFXI from Square-Enix, and if their gerbil in a wheel system could handle payment collection, i'm sure ZOS has got it covered.
And how about cutting back on the backhand jabs eh?
Isn't that the same division in the company that got their entire customer service database hacked?
I am pretty sure you do not have to subscribe until after your 30 free days. It just says at that time you'll be able to select which plan you want.
Tons and tons of DDOS attacks but no outright hackings of the company's servers that i remember. Why?
