"The Ballad of the Fat Lute"

It began on a frosty morn,

Just around shower time.

I was the most intrepid Bard around!

She was the most headstrong warrior!

She never took no for an answer,

Not on the battlefield nor anywhere else!

She was my lost love,

My headstrong lost love,

My warrior!

We used to crush enemies so well together,

Back then.

We wanted to wander together, around the world!

We wanted it all!

But one, robust, morning,

We decided to wander too much.

Together we crushed a mudcrab.

And boy did the fat lute drop!

From that moment our relationship changed.

She swapped my love for the fat lute of a burnt-ochre mudcrab!

Oh No! Oh No!

The next day I thought my wrists had broken,

my cankles felt as if they had burst into flames!

My headstrong warrior was forever gone...

But still, she is in my thoughts.

My cankles...ouch!

When I think of that headstrong warrior and me.

Sad.
