six in TES

Post » Fri Mar 28, 2014 5:45 am

Wouldn't it be great to have this feature? I mean, we wouldn't actually be able to see 'the deed', but just let the screen become dark and then some sort of message appears.

TES games are rated M anyways. It would also be great from a role playing perspective;

What do you consider to be "perverse animations?"

Nah , I don't see any good reason for this, even if it just black screen it feels stupid, besides what do you think lover's comfort is

Yeah, for RPing purposes maybe?

I'm not going to vote, because the options are highly immature.

However; there is no reasonable gameplay reason for this to be in there. Aside from RP reasons (which I deeply RP, so I can see the possibilities), it would serve no necessary function for the game.

I wouldn't mind it tbh. Though, I've always assumed "lovers comfort" was six.

Depending on how it is done it might or might not look rather awkward. But I don't think the idea is bad.

six or not, one thing that would be nice is a hugging feature, so that you can at least show your friends and family some affection. And also pet your pets.

Yeah, don't we already have the "Lover's Comfort"?

Maybe if we could receive it from people other than spouses, yea, but I think it's been covered already. IMO actual graphic six would be kinda awkward, just look at Dragon Age.

I think infidelity / advltery or staying loyal to one partner should be an option the same way joining the Dark brotherhood or performing certain Daedric quests are.

They need to keep it mature and advlt though without cheapening the game with silly ways of putting it across.

I agree with Bethesda that divorce should not be in the game as it'll get silly with constant marriages and break ups. Keep it to choosing marriage or no marriage and then give the choice for brothels and advltery. Non marital player homes could have the option of hiring a concubine to live in them

I would love this. There is almost no way to express affection in the Elder Scrolls games. This would be a definite improvement, in my opinion.

TES games haven't really got characterisation down yet - especially not in regards to NPC relationships with the player character - so to avoid some Mass Effect level implications of awkward coin-slot-psychology relationships, I'd say no. Video games have a problem with presenting meaningful relationships at the moment, and a little of that spilled into Skyrim - but it was so underplayed that it wasn't so bad. six would just multiply the problems.

You know, the pumping kind...

Why are they immature? Because I added that 'Ewwww no'? Never mind that, you can just view the options as yes and no.

Yeah, 'Lover's comfort' is what I call a step in the good direction, but it isn't the same. Btw, I am too against graphic six. But maybe something like in Oblivion, when the vampire in the Dark Brotherhood comes to visit you in your sleep to make you a vampire -> a text message with it or a nice half a page of story.

Sure, it's roleplaying after all.

Are you referring to intercourse? Are you saying you think intercourse is perverse?

God no! Intercourse is beautiful. I just don't want to see anything too explicit. I mean, something under the sheets would be fine and all, but I don't need to see the humping.

Definetly yes, I mean, Mass Effect even does it, and if it is good fore role playing, sign me up. I wouldn't be against some animations before the fade to black really. Always strive to make Skyrim more animated in the eating, drinking, sleeping and well, yes, door opening. That is one thing I like about ESO, it's more animated.

Lover's Comfort may supposedly be six, maybe, it could just mean that the spouse is comforting the Dragonborn for everything that is happening. "There there, it's okay" "I hear them screaming!" "She is telling me to find contracts" Oh gods, I can see Miraak and Herma-Mora everywhere I go!" "The Guards keep saying the same damn things!" "Get out of my head"! That sort of thing. But yes, romance and six should be implemented in Elder Scrolls VI. Natural progression. We should also have all the things Heartfire added in the base game for Elder Scrolls VI.

Nope, bad idea that would add absolutely nothing of worth to the series.

TES is supposed to be about adventure and exploration, not life issues. Next you'll be wanting child birth and divorce.

The Fable series had implied six in it, and it just came across as a cheesy gimmick that nearly ruined the whole charm of the setting with no gameplay value at all.
