I'm a huge altoholic and have already planned out the 12 characters that I would like to create in detail (names, looks, classes, etc.), and intend to play all 10 races and have an Imperial in each of the 3 alliances.

I know as it currently stands that we will be able to create up to 8 characters (I really don't know why Zenimax went with 8, when there are 10 races....), but I would like to know if anybody here has any idea if it will be possible for the many altoholics like myself to be able to have more than 8 characters on the one mega-server? Will we be able to purchase more character slots? I truly do hope so.

If every subscriber fills 8 slots. Lets just say conservatively 2 million subscribers with 8 names, means 16 Million names taken. That is nuts.

I suppose that could be a possibility in the cash shop.

It's not a p2w and if there's a shop then I don't see any reason why not.

You can have 8 on each megaserver. That makes a total of 16

Yep, but I would really like to have the option to have more than 8 characters on the one mega-server, as I'm in New Zealand and the ping on the EU server is far too high.

11 characters, wow that is ambitious. I thought I was crazy for planning to make and level 5. I hope they offer you the opportunity to buy more character slots, I don’t see any harm in it, and if it makes you happy without hurting anyone why not?
