PVP features

Post » Fri Mar 28, 2014 7:12 pm

Probably been said before but it helps to emphasize it, ESO needs:

_ Duels!

_ PVP outside Cyrodiil. It was revelead early on there would be matching options to gather the people of same tastes( pvp, pve , RP ). ESO would be a much better game with this option, spontaneous PVP while leveling, public dungeons wouldn't be a faceroll but a much more dangerous place instead.

One thing that it doesn't need but would be appreciated is Arenas or some sort of battleground for some quick PVP. Instead of always having to depend on your friends to be online to make proper pvp in Cyrodiil or just follow the zerg train which gets old fast, instanced pvp would be a nice alternative for the down times.

How these features are not implemented in a MMO launching in 2014 is beyond me but doesn't hurt to give you some feedback.

Cyrodiil is a Warzone you don't need Battlegrounds when you are deployed into a warzone.

It's called feedback on what clients want for the product. Be vocal enough and dev's will realize this is a wanted feature and its more likely to be introduced into the game. Be silent and they won't be aware of what their clients want nor how much they want something so they can prioritize.

So yes, another PVP thread.

Well, if you had bothered to read any of the numerous other threads on this topic you would see that the majority are "vocally" against this. Hence the dead horse anology.

Majority of players playing the game is not the same as the vocal majority commenting in forums. Some guys just like to spend their time in the forums commenting on everything, giving their opinion, trolling, whatever. Either way, this is player feedback and its in their best interest to "listen" to the community that will keep their game alive.

One thing that I don't get though, have I stated a feature that will break the game? Or people just like to scrap features entirely because its not their cup of tea even though they are completely optional for them in case they want to ignore it?

More features, more stuff to do, better the game will be. Thanks for wasting your time bumping this thread though.

Again, maybe you should read some of the other threads. It will answer what you don't get.

As Spiritreaver said, it won't be seen by the devs here so you are just one more in the forums giving your "opinion, trolling, whatever." Feedback is given directly to ZOS in game or post game. That's what they listen to.

Your welcome for the bump. No more freebies.

I love them to keep the 2 first areas from each alliance locked, to protect the younglings... And unlock the rest of 14 areas (adventure zones and cyrodiil excluded) so we can have some interesting pvp there... I love it. I love open world pvp.

They could also impliment some missions, quests into enemy lands...

but they wont do it after all.

I agree although I'm all for the law system with item/gold drop rewards would be cool, would mean paying attention to kill death ratio and give a good reason to PvE or travel in groups..And a law 'bounty' system for crimes, with more penalty in death, which would create more thought out tactics and reason to gather supplies before danger zones where pvp takes place for pve treasure hot spots.. but I guess some majority people can't handle that style which is understandable on a commercial level.. :yuck:

Are you that selfish for bashing an open world pvp outside Cyrodiil feature even if it's completely optional? Considering their initial idea of grouping people with similar tastes within the megaserver that means that PVE people would never have these kinds of PVP encounters outside Cyrodiil. Get it? PVE players with PVE players and so on.

For that of course it would be needed that login filter they first talked about and then scrapped it. They need to unscrap it or give players some options at least.

Same way that from a gameplay and lore point of view its ridiculous that you will never see players from other factions while outside Cyrodiil, not even in their faction zone. It's forcing players to have a PVE experience only to level up. This in a MMO doesn't make much sense to me.

The races with in each faction (Ebonhart Pact, Daggerfall Covenant, Aldmeri Dominion) have agreed NOT to fight each other. Instead they have joined together to fight the other factions for control of Tamriel. Which means duels are not in keeping with the game story.

So, NO to duels.

If you want to gank go to the PvP zone. You will need to purchase the game first of course :D

Alright, so I guess the vocal majority here just wants more quests and more lore books to read in-game while paying a 15$ sub for it. OK!

no I want a molag bal faction

doubt I am going to get it

but that`s life

no to arenas

different setting on cyrodill yes, but rest no

I am in favour of dueling though, for bit of fun. (as long as things are not nerfed, or balanced because of it)

Some people see spots in front of their eyes the moment they encounter something that's not to their liking. I don't know, maybe that's the "WoW syndrome".

As for your OP: I think it would be great if they added something extra besides Cyrodiil with it's zerg mentality. But open world PVP outside of Cyrodiil would be a terrible idea, as there are many players (dare I say majority) that do not like to get ganked by other players and it would not be good for the game.

Structured and/or instanced PvP outside of Cyrodiil. Now, that's something I will be hoping for and working towards with constant pressure on their official forum and through other means. :)
