Hey quick question, I use my xbox 360 controller to play Skyrim on pc, so can I use it playing ESO?

I don't see why not so long as you can setup keybinds using a couple buttons as modifiers for everything else.

I used to play SW:ToR with a PS3 controller and it was fairly easy to setup everything for PvE and PvP. It really depends on how the controller is communicating with your PC. When I had a PS3 controller, I used 3rd party software to set it up.

I use mine. So far have only configured it to a pretty basic profile. Once it is released, I will take more time to a create a more robust profile. I use Pinnacle Profiler. In my opinion, it is the best. Can be complex, but once you get the hang of it, it's not bad at all. It allows for double button presses or timed-hold button presses. I.E. Pressing button A quickly generates a Jump, but holding it down past the threshold (that you set) triggers a crouch, or whatever. That is just an example. You can fully configure it how you see fit. Pinnacle is free for 30 days and then requires a purchase. That kinda' svcks, but it's worth it. I purchased it when it was on sale for $14. The sale may still be going, so go check it out. In fact, I used my XBox 360 controller for GW2, as well. Both games are almost perfect for it because there are only so many abilities at one time.

I am sure they said that it cannot be done at the moment directly from the client but they said to use a third party emulator but the name escapes me.

That would be X-Padder, which would be needed for any controller for this game.

I played last beta using Pinnacle Profiler to map my 360 controller for everything short of going through menus (though I have binds opened/copied with my modifier to allow me to map the more important ones eventually). It worked great, but it still doesn't compare to a UI that fully supports a controller.
