(personal) powerleveling to 50 with RoM this Sunday - EU

Post » Sat Mar 29, 2014 11:34 am

I already said I don't care if he Powerlevels to max and then quits when his sub expires. I also said Powerleveling is easy in Modern MMO's ... it's a big reason why most of them fail after a few months.

and if you read what i said the reason the games are easy is because people complain and that has nothing to do with someone wanting to spend their time lvling. perfect example is someone whining because someone else chooses to power level of course we dont have any examples of that around here do we.

I hate when casuals come with bitter comments about those who are better players.

Stay away with your stupid comments and praise that theres actually players who makes the game improve.

/agree

The effort that people go through to tell someone that they are "doing it wrong" and shouldn't enjoy the game in a way they enjoy is disheartening. I read the first post and was like "Oh...interesting. Doesn't sound like I would enjoy being that focused on gaining 50 so fast." and then would have left the thread as I didn't have any interest in the OPs proposal...but then I saw all the belittling remarks. I'm sure most people think they were actually being helpful...but just maybe someone having a certain playstyle is because they enjoy that, and while you may not understand it, it doesn't make his enjoyment wrong. Geez...its like a bunch an old ladies knitting circle.

Well, to get to end game PvE you have to Level, You don't have to RP... The road to there being boring to you is because you choose it to be boring..

It's funny just a few days ago I was talking about how i prefer grinding over quest grinding and people told me "It's the wrong way, not the game for you" now people are taking up for those who want to speed through everything.

As far as i know level 50 isn't the last straw as far as getting to the top and the likes. There is veteran content and other things which i've talked with about numerous pts testers that are extremely extremely difficult, but good luck to you! i am interested to hear / read how you journey through the game as i love watching pro's and learning from them. I although did kind of giggle at the fact that you "bragged" (for lack of a better word) about being a pro hunter in WoW, as anybody who plays a hunter has easy mode in that game, lol. (to each his own). But hey, more power to you, and like i said, i'm looking forward to hopefully seeing/reading how you guys manage to fight your way through the game so quickly, and maybe learning a few things on the way. Will you guys be streaming or anything of the sorts?

I'm not pro enough to keep up with you guys as i am casual, but like i said, have fun and good luck with everything :)

I hope you level ASAP and are back to WoW within the week. I got a huge laugh at the pro arena player part though and a huntard to boot. I'll add it to my list of oxymorons.

I'm probably middle of the pack when it comes to leveling speed. I have zero issue with people playing faster or slower than me. I play the game the way that I want, so I give others the same consideration.

If all you do in the game leveling up is the quests, then yeah, you are missing content.

That said, more power to this guy and others that play the same way. I will probably be around level 15-20 when he hits 50 but his play does not affect my play.

The majority of MMO players despise power gamers, for multiple reasons, I'll lay out a few here.

1. They play to crush. More often than not, the reason one would want to reach max level as soon as humanly possible, is to lord over every one else, often in PVP. This reason is enough on its own. There's little other incentive to do so, unless your goal is to beat the game and quit, in which case I can confidently say, yes you're playing MMO's wrong. You dont beat them.

2. In 1-2 months time they will be crapping up the forums and in game chat with venom and negativity that would make the run of the mill troll blush. This happens in every MMO. Theres a certain very loud and obnoxious percentage of players who will plaster all manner of vileness all over everyone elses screen because their playstyle is not sustainable, which is their own fault. "Theres not enough end game content." "I dont wanna do the same 4 end game dungeons 300 times." "What now? I log in and just sit by the bank and trash talk anyone that comes in my vicinity, this game svcks." Take your pick really.

Im sure there are many more reason I could state, but these are the main ones, in the interest of some brevity I'll leave it to that. This is exactly what WILL happen. Im not saying this applies to the OP, but if you lay with dogs you get fleas, in a sense. People are subject to all kinds of stereotypes that arent fair. It doenst mean they're not well earned though.

Good and good - I get it.

Just let him play the way he wants. At least it's not another post about unfair pricing.

You would only see them for a second or two as they run by you. Just wave and smile.
