[WIPz] Female Armor Additions

Post » Sat May 08, 2010 4:55 am

I've been reluctant to show these meshes off, because there's a pretty remote chance that I'll actually finish this, but I'm tired of having the screenshots on my computer, taunting me... :P

So here they are, or at least the ones that I feel are in a finished state. They use the meshes of the female armors added by Tribunal, as well as the Domina mesh in a couple of instances, and, as always, use the vanilla textures.

Obviously, stretching is sort of par for course here, as I'm taking textures that are meant for a flat surface and applying it over... well, a curved surface :P But I've done what I can to reduce it, so hopefully it looks alright. Feedback in any form would be appreciated :)

Ah, the templar armor looks nicer than the avenger female armor set. Are you using a modified texture for it, or just adjusting the uv maps on the mesh? I ask because I use Darknut's enhanced textures for the armor, but they don't apply to any of my female armor sets because all those use modified textures.

Imageshack stopped working for me so I can't show a picture, but yeah, I just adjusted the UV maps, so it should be compatible with whatever texture replacer you use :)

They all look great, except I don't think that iron should conform to shape...

Dang, I've been waiting so long for these. Do you think you could make them BB compatible perhaps? Or at-least minimize the clipping?

I don't really know what I could do to make them more BB compatible, as I'm really not a modeler. These are vanilla models that I'm retexturing, so there's not a lot I could do :( The good news is that the vanilla armor is pretty compatible with BB as it is, which is why we still use it ;)

@Guitarjoe91- I understand what you're saying, but if I go by that logic, I probably won't be working any more on this mod (as the word "iron" could be replaced with most of the other materials in Morrowind ;)). I can make a stripped down version that only replaces the light armors or something similar, but I'd rather make the full version and then strip down the .esp than make the full version something that feels like it's less than its full potential.

the templar and nordic i would use for sure. the glass would look good with a retexture to work with the mesh. and i have to agree that iron should be left plain. as it is the cheap cheap heavy armor. great work so far.
