I know I broke about 20 lockpicks on my first attempt. I am not a fan of the lockpick mini game because I really sux at it.

Practice makes perfect. The trick is not to worry about actually opening them the first few times, but rather practice getting your technique right. Good luck with it.

Nerf chests and make them all unlocked, it's not fair to those without the skill to open them up. This game should be about fairness and equality.

Or maybe those with the skills should have to open other people's chests for them, or they should forfeit the treasures found into a bank so that lesser skilled players can come and take the goods.

This is actually closer to the truth than you probably know. I can do master locks with ease every time, I think this makes locks are pointless. Also svcks when they slow down groups in instances.

I prefered Skyrim's minigame to this Oblivion like one they are using.

I like locked chests, not quite as good as you, I do occasionally need two or three attemtps at master locks but I don't consider it hard.

I just think the way they are done needs modified so it isn't wholly dependent on reaction time. As you said, for some people they aren't a challenege where others can't get simple chests open.

I am thinking a skill line that modifies the time and different configurations of chests instead of the same number of tumblers even puzzled chests.

Trapped chests would be interesting as well, which leads to trap detection..Thieve's guild skill lines? There are so many ways you could make the chests more interesting.

Having no locked chests would make it way too easy to farm chests which can be done now as it is.

You better practice because the best armor sets in game come from those locked chests in VR zones :)
