Post » Sun Mar 30, 2014 6:33 am

So I go to download the textures DLC on steam to find out i got a 4.4 gig download! My internet connection svcks so it will take me 8 hours to download the thing. I wish steam would tell you how big the file will be before you down load the thing if i had known i might not have bothered. Whats worse is it wont let me launch Skyrim until the the download is complete and i cant find any way to stop the down load.

Pause, ask Steam support to remove it from your account, delete the 6 files.

Ok is this the actual size of the download for the DLC? All it says is i'm downloading skyrim. when I sore how big the file was and all it says was skyrim, I though I clicked the wrong thing and downloading the entire game ?! If it is the DLC I may as well leave it now till complete. I have never been able to figure out steam It owns me all the time. when i installed my skyrim Legendary edition (hard copy because i hate steam) and a little steam box came up saying connecting you to steam i thought pleases god kill me now!!

Yes. The texture pack is around 3 - 5 GB in size.

Exactly: 4,607.5 MB

System Requirements

  • CPU: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
  • RAM: 4GB System RAM
  • GPU: NVIDIA with 1GB of Ram (Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher) or AMD ATI with 1GB of Ram (ATI Radeon 4890 or higher)

---------------

Once you've added the add-on to your Steam account, those files can not be uninstalled, as the files will be re-downloaded automatically when starting Skyrim.
Those files could be remowed from your account, by contacting Steam Support to request those files to be removed from your account.

But you can disable those files by clicking "Data Files" from the launcher, and then un-checking the boxes related to those files. !!!
