I know a want to be a ranged caster and pvp, I can't figure out which class to pick or build to roll. I'm open to anything and was hoping for some advice?

You have lots of build options. I will try to simplify some of the options though.

Dragon knight- You have nice defensive spells, Sustain, CC and some decent CC damage, you don't have many ranged abilities though, and none of your spells are true "executes"

Sorcerer- Amazing mana manage, many ranged spells, plethora of defensive spells and many CC spells as well, you have an execute but very little "sustain" (Your sustain requires crits lol please RNG based god)

Nightblade- You have AMAZING single target burst, you have sustain, you have less hard CC's but you have unique evasion skills with the shadow line, Not many ranged spells, but hey you will hit single targets hard.

Templar- You have some hard hitting spells, you have sustain but you don't have many "defensive" spells and really not that much CC, but your spells/CC you do have are very strong, your execute also requires you to be really close.

IMO I would go DK, even though they lack an execute, it just seems very intriguing to be this fire breathing mage , Even though in my opinion, Sorc has the best "mage" ultimates, but you can always use the mages guild ultimate.
