Thought I'd kick off a friendly discussion about this weapon. Obviously it's all dependant on build, but with a high EW skill coupled with a high crit chance (through Luck or Apparel) the game just becomes far too easy when you use it. Some of the most difficult NPCs in the game become easy pickings without getting the chance to land a hit or even get close you for that matter. Even if you don't like Honest Hearts it's worth playing through it just to pick up this weapon alone.

Thoughts?

it is pretty awesome, but not sure I would say it is OP. There are a lot of weapons that if you crit will end a lot of tough fights in one or two shots lol, but I agree it is a good question.

To use an example - I took out Rawr in LR with a sneak attack crit (which stunned him) and then finished him off with two YCS shots to the head. He hadn't even spotted me..

Nah.

I mean, we do have weapons that can take out a room full of the toughest things in the wastes(Courier included) in a single shot.

I think it is just quite powerful. I never used I myself (never had the lockpick skill that high) but the stun on crit would make things a lot easier facing a group of tough enemies.
