How to know if the memory patch is working.

Last night I experienced about three crashes during a pretty long session. I played for probably 6-7 hours and my game crashed in three separate instances. The last one gave me a bit of concern and has me wondering if the memory patch that I've thought was installed is doing its job. Usually I get CTDs but on the last one the game froze (this was the first time ever) and gave me a "bong" noise, the kind you'd hear when a computer is not responding and you click the mouse button. I used CTL ALT DEL and was able to shut the game down.

But then I looked at my memory block log in my SKSE folder. I noticed that the last number before the crash was 255. That seems to be a strange coincidence and perhaps it's no big deal but does this suggest that the game froze because of the memory issue? I have testing it previously using Gopher's example of spawning guards at the Windhelm docks ad I got the number well over 300. So with that in mind I've figured that I was good to go as far as the memory patch is concerned.

Lastly, I've looked at the guide about CTDs and how to prevent them but dang, that's a LOT

If you have mods, then the game is pretty much guaranteed to crash as some point (as your recoding the game, not adding content like an MP3). The more mods you have, the more often it will crash. It does not matter how much memory you through at it.

You can also test your mod mix and game install by starting a new character and playing that for 6 or 7 hours. If you get no issues, then your other saves are getting corrupted (probably due to mod issues). If you have issues, then more than likely it is mod related, and not memory related.

That's kind of what I figured but it's just good to hear someone else say it. I figure that crashes are inevitable, at least some times. I'm not getting crashes over and over and I cannot replicate any of them so for that I'm thankful. I've not added a new mod for a week or so and I don't plan on doing so any time soon. I have all the mods I want installed and I've been playing a character for some time now. I just hope that there's not going to be an issue that just shows up out of nowhere.
