How do I go about removing the weaknesses Altmers have?

Post » Fri Apr 04, 2014 3:09 pm

The abilities and spells under "specials" in the race window seem uneditable.

Bonus questions; How do I know if the small personal mod I'm making is compatible with the morrowind code patch? Also I have Morrowind game of the year edition, when selecting a master file should I select Morrowind or Bloodmoon ( the later of the two expansions)?

You can't edit or tweak the weaknesses themselves from the race window, but you can click and delete them.

Bonus: If you're making a regular esp or esm mod, it's compatible for sure. As for the masters, if it's a small personal mod, just select morrowind, tribunal and bloodmoon.

Also, welcome to the forums, have a http://images.uesp.net/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg.

Thanks, figured out I had to press delete on my key board to get them out of there. When I select morrowind, tribunal, and bloodmoon, a bunch of messages pop up when the construction set is loading. Something to do with werewolves.

Also, when I select Morrowind as the master file, when I look at the description of my personal mod it shows a bunch of changes to werewolf stats that I didn't make. This doesn't happen when I choose bloodmoon.

The messages that pop up when selecting all 3 masters are normal/harmless. My recommendation: Check inside your morrowind.ini file and find the line with the "AllowYesToAll" option. Enable that and instead of clicking yes a thousand times, you just click cancel once to say "yes to all".

Those werewolf changes are part of something called the "Evil GMST".

To keep it short:

If you use only the morrowind master, the CS will add a bunch of useless references about the expansions, which you will have to clean up after him.

If you use all 3 masters, the CS doesn't add the references. If you're releasing a mod publicly using all 3 is not ideal, but if it's only for your own use don't worry about it and select all of them.
