How does healing and potions work?

Hello everybody, I'm new to the forums and decided to open a discussion about a topic I've been thinking about for some time now.

Healing and potions, how do they work?

Let's say you got an open wound, and you/somebody is healing you, doesn't it mean that your wound closes in a matter of seconds? ( Depends on the spell of course.. )

What if someone loses a limb? Obviously you'll not be able to "Heal" and return it, but it will stop bleeding immediately?

What happens in cases of bones breaking? Does the bone "fix" itself and gets back to it's place?

Now same thing goes for potions. Forget the gameplay mechanics, everyone knows that potions heal over time.. ( Depends on the potion, can vary I guess, the common ones heal in matter of seconds too. )

Hope for a nice discussion, sorry for my English :)

Healing potion as red as it is isn't liquid - it's actually millions extremely tiny red goblins. Those goblins you drink go into your stomach to find a way to get access into your blood. There they will eventually to get into your wound and they are terrified - it's not fun to bleed out of your body and to fall down to the ground from that high. So as good and fast builders as they are they will rebuild that part of your body to ensure they will not bleed out of you.

Yes that's it. The most likely theory I can think to explain this.
