I need suggestions for a topic

Okay, so I heard that the people on this board are, like, really smart and stuff, so I came to ask for advice. I have to write a 4.000 word paper on political theory that is due in 7 days, and I have absolutely no idea what topic I want to choose for it. I know that politics is a restricted topic here, but I'm merely asking for suggestions on what to write about that is relevant. Hopefully there are a few smart people here who's interested in political theory, society and history that could help me out.

Political theory is a very wide field, so it's difficult to find something specific that I want to write about, but I've kinda mentally prepared myself to write about Thomas Hobbes and John Locke related to the social contract or something, so it'd be neat if someone could help me come up with a relevant question related to that. I'm looking for issues like, "Thomas Hobbes: a liberal thinker?" et cetera. Something that gives me something to work on. It could be about Plato, Karl Marx or whatever as well so long as it touches important political ideas and values that is interesting, and most importantly, something that I can write 4.000 words about without ending up just grasping at straws and writing superfluous stuff.

It'd be nice if the moderators could allow this thread, because I'm getting really anxious here and running out of ideas. I'm not asking for people to do my homework for me, but to help me getting started. I don't want anyone to argue or debate about politics either and there's no reason to, unless you hold a grudge against me and you're determined to screw me over for some reason and getting this thread locked.

I'd really appreciate it if someone bothered to help me.
