I can't seem to install Nexus Mod Manager?

Post » Sat Apr 05, 2014 7:16 pm

Recently got a new computer, and NMM was one my favorite programs from my last computer. Now I can't seem to install it however. When I try to, it tells me to move it out of my Program Files folder. I did so (moving it to several different locations) but it only seems to accept it if the folder is in my games folder. Wouldn't be such a problem if I actually had a games folder but it seems that I don't. I didn't have a "games" folder on my last computer also, so I don't exactly know what I did wrong this time. Can anyone help me out?

Turns out all I had to do was run as administrator.

Thanks, misleading error window, you wasted an hour of my time.

You really need to place Moddable Games outside of C:Program Files to avoid problems that will happen with UAC and Mods.

My new Desktop has My Games and Steam Library on a different Drive, on My last four computers I had created a C:Games and placed all of My Games inside the Folder.

NMM is a decent beginner Mod Management Tool, but You should try Wrye Bash and BAIN, or Mod Organiser.
