M'aiq really enjoys civil war debate threads, don't you?

M'aiq supports the Empire all the way. Skyrim's days are darkening and it is not ready to become independent yet. Sybille Stentor, a very wise vampire court wizard, states that the Dominion is a sleeping beast awaiting to be woken up by a intruder at its doorstep. If the Stormcloaks were to win the Civil War, they would gather troops and send them to the Summerset Isle, only to wake the sleeping beast. The Nordic troops would be overwhelmed and most likely tortured, [censored], and killed by the Dominion. While Skyrim is being weakened by the Dominion, the Empire would just sit still, watching the war, laughing that Skyrim abandoned the Empire, since the Empire most likely will not help the Nordic traitors. While the Dominion is focusing on Skyrim, the Empire would strike the heart of the Dominion, causing many Thalmor soldiers to surrender to the Empire, many provinces reuniting with the Empire (Elsweyr, Summerset Isle, and Valenwood), returning the Empire to its formal glory.

On the other hand, if the Empire wins the Civil War, The Empire would gather troops, march onto Elsweyr soil, only being joined by Khajiit rebels, to retake Elsweyr and make it part of the Empire. After Elsweyr has fallen to the Empire, the Empire will defend all Empire territory borders. After a few months, the Empire would march onto Valenwood (would probably be the bloodiest part of the war). The Redguards of Hammerfell would probably hear the news and aid the Empire in destroying the Dominion. After reuniting Valenwood with the Empire, all sea borders in all provinces (excluding Morrowind and Black Marsh) will be heavily defended by Legionnaires, Khajiit Rebels, Bosmer Rebels, Alik'r Warriors, etc.

After a few months has passed, the Empire will begin in creating a massive navy and set sail to the Summerset Isle, taking over all the smaller isles of the Summerset. The xenophobic Argonians of Black Marsh would hear about the Empire eventually and send very few aid to the Empire, but enough aid to help win the second war with the Dominion.

After the Empire has retaken the smaller Summerset isles, they will attack the main island with full force, surrounding the whole entire island, bombarding everything until the Dominion has decided to surrender. The Dominion would probably fight back, but since they are weakened, they will surrender in a year or two.

The surrender of the Dominion would make the Empire return to their formal glory once again.

All in all, no matter who wins the Civil War, the Empire will still rise to glory once again.

The empire has been dying since Morrowind (or was it daggerfall). I don't really care anyway, it's dying so Yaaay.
The empire will either not exist in TES VI or it will just be cyrodiil or cyrodiil, Skyrim and that breton land (I keep forgetting the name of it).

The Stormcloaks and the Stormcloaks. The Stormcloaks because rebelling against the Empire is the better position for Skyrim, and the Stormcloaks(or rather, Independent Skyrim) because I'm a Nord fan in general.
