Purchase that you're happy about

Post » Mon Apr 07, 2014 6:30 pm

We always hear about people talking about mistakes they have made with money by buying things they wish they hadn't.

I'm wondering, what purchases have you made that you liked so much that your only regret is that you didn't buy it sooner?

Mine is a $50 electric tea pot I bought three years ago. I literally use that thing every night for hot green tea. No more waiting for the whistle sound from an old fashioned tea pot.

What are your purchases you're glad you made?

This might sound dumb but...a rice cooker. I svck at making rice in a pot and the rice cooker saved my stomach. Cost me 40 bucks and I can't believe I hadn't brought it sooner

My generator, my coal stove. Both of these devices have paid for themselves time and time again.

My Super Blackhawk .44 Magnum Revolver, I bought a rubber grip for cause I ain't using wooden grips for a powerful .44 Mag----that's to painful.

My Star Wars Millennium Falcon---this is just so awesome if you looked up the word awesome in a dictionary you'll see a photo of it and Bruce Campbell on it.

Everyone of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic figures, dolls and playsets---other then a few figures this has been easy on the wallet.

My Masters of the Universe Classic figures, mostly She-Ra themed I enjoy collecting these as well.

My Kindle Fire is something I'm very happy to have, but the purchase itself wasn't mine.. my parents got it as a present for me, and I've already used it quite a bit. There aren't a lot of other things I want in terms of a purchase that would make me happy except to get a few collections of movies, but they will have to wait.

Other than that though, I'm happy every time I buy a new book because I find a lot of interesting ones out there.

My Keurig coffee maker I suppose. I use that thing every day. One of those things where it's really helped that customer service has been really great every time.

We're on our fourth or fifth one by now - they do tend to break on me (and to be fair I haven't always put much effort in maintaining it.) But they've always been very helpful and friendly each time I have to call, and have even sent me new replacements even when the warranty has passed.

If it weren't for that I probably wouldn't have one now, but I find customer service makes a big difference.

My husband and I recently purchased an expensive bed a few months ago. I had a supposedly good quality mattress and boxspring, but it was actually either defective or just terrible... so we splurged, thanks to a good incentive credit plan and bought a Tempurpedic set. Good lord, what a freaking difference - that bed is wonderful to sleep on. I wish I had bought it sooner - the other mattress would have me waking up with a mild back or neck ache almost every day and you also couldn't get in or out of the bed without completely disturbing your partner.

I'll agree to that.

It's nothing major but, rechargeable batteries. So much money could have been saved if I had realized these beauties existed sooner.
