So I've been playing Oblivion since 2006, and Skyrim since launch and I can honestly say that they're the only games I've been playing for a couple of years now. They've kind of gotten old, and I want some new games to play, if not just A game.

I've tried Witcher 2 and Dark Souls, and I really didn't get very far.. I stopped playing Witcher simply because I was in the second act and I had forgotten the story because I left it too long. Dark Souls is self explanatory.

So, for someone who enjoys open world RPG's, and used to enjoy adventure games where you found stuff in his childhood, can anyone please recommend some games to help me get back into gaming?

Here's some games I've played and think are either okay or bad.

Mass Effect series, Dragon Age series, GTA V, Fallout series, Assassins Creed series, Dishonored, Fable series.

But I'd like recommendations to be based off of stuff like TES and open world environments with lots of choices.
