Clothes - What do you wear and why?

Post » Mon Apr 14, 2014 2:35 pm

So I'm thinking about clothes, something I don't think about ordinarily. I often look at the disgusting people in my area in absolute horror because of the horrible, foul clothes they wear. It makes me suicidal half the time.

But!! .. I do sometimes look at people I admire, and I'm in awe of their fantastic sense of fashion. If I wore clothes, which I don't, I'd have a hard time thinking about what I would wear. I'm intimidated by the abundance of clothes I see people I admire wearing. But the shops here only sell disgusting clothes that make me despondent. I basically want to wear clothes I like, or none at all.

I like my pyjamas though. I've left the house many times in them. I don't anymore though because I'm tired of my family shouting at me because of it. They tell me I'll get beaten up. So on the rare occasion I go to see a family member who lives down the street, I throw on some horrid clothes over the top, and immediately take them off once I'm there.

So what clothes do you wear, and why?

Trackpants master race reporting for duty. All who don't wear trackpants must be shipped off to Trackpants Gulags to spend 50 years manufacturing and shipping them around the world, thus furthering the supremacy of trackpants wearing beings.

Just generic pants--cotton or cotton/nylon, medium thickness, dull color (brown or grey). They're easy to come by, don't carry a connotation, and protect my legs.

Generic shirt too, cotton or synthetic, t-shirt, brown or grey or blue, same reasons.

I'm a jeans-and-tee sort of girl, because I'm lazy.

At the moment I like my cropped jeans, and a preference for bright yellow tees because they're cheerful. I usually wear black wedgie sandals because they're comfortable, and my N7 hoodie if it's cold because I'm a nerd. I'll often wear a blouse if I'm in a mood to be a bit smarter. I'll occasionally wear a skirt if the mood takes me, and my handbag likes to be taken for walks. Sometimes I commit an awful faux pas of not matching it to my shoes. I'm currently wearing http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005ERV7K6/ because they're cute.

I'm left feeling that an insight into my dress sense isn't the most profound thing ever posted on this forum.

Black pants with pockets, and a white tight fitting T-shirt with some sort of sweater/jacket.

I may wear my ring and watch if it calls.

Dress/flannel shirts and black skinny jeans. I don't care a lot about fashion, but it looks good on me.

I dress pretty normal. shirt, blue jeans, Vans shoes, and during the colder seasons, a jacket. Sometimes a button up shirt on a special occasion or whenever. The only catch being, it must be darker colors. I don't like prancing around in lime green Nike socks or a pink polo shirts or salmon shorts or neon skinny jeans or whatever. Black, grey, white, or the occasional dark blue is my kind of taste.

It svcks living in a place like South Carolina because most of the time it's hot and I love wearing my North Face or Columbia jackets but I can't unless I want to burn up. However, I've come to show an interest in leather jackets. Because leather jackets are pretty much the definition of cool. Like Fonzie.

Jeans, cargos, jogging bottoms. Fitted shirts, wool jumpers, plain t-shirts. Boots, garish trainers, suede shoes. If I'm wearing a suit then it's going to need to be slim fit and preferably with a single back vent. I like heavy, fitted wool jackets as well. Tried duffel coats but they just had no shape. Warm though...

And boxer-briefs >>> all.

You're disgusted by peoples clothes to the point of suicide and yet wear PJ's....I don't even know what to say. Would seeing another pedestrian in PJ's disgust you?

My jeans are tougher then your trackpants...both figuratively and literally

Seriously though I've been a jean man for as far back as I can remember, I even got into a showdown with my gym teacher behind wearing jeans which wasn't allowed in gym class but I made them make an exception in my case...sweat pants and the like are lame

I usually wear jeans (the loose comfy kind, not the kind designed for a lack of testicles) and a plain T-shirt (usually black), a black hoodie or leather jacket over it in the winter or strip down to the wife beater beneath the T in the summer on hot days (still wear the jeans though ha).

I have a uniform at work that I wear. When I'm not at work I strut around my apartment in my boxers most of the time. Right now I'm wearing brown corduroy pants with a light blue shirt though. I don't really have a specific style. I actually despise all the clothes I have but I'm either too cheap or believe that clothes are way too expensive.
