So I have never had this problem happen before and I can't figure out what is causing this. I'm going through a new game after the tenth time or so in the companion quest Purity of revenge Kodlak has been killed and i'm going through the dungeon to wipe out the Silver hand, and I get to the door that opens up to Driftshade Refuge and open up to it and then my game closes. This happens every time I try to open the door it goes to the load screen a few seconds and then closes the game.

If someone knows the solution that would be amazing cause this is bugging the crap out of me.

Try loading up a save previous to the one that causes the crash and see if you can enter with that save file. I had this problem with a couple of places and doing that seemed to help. If you're lucky, reloading the buggy save after you have entered with the good save may allow you to progress.

I found a way to do it, I was originally playing the game with SKSE but I opened it with the regular skyrim loader on steam with a lower quality and was able to play through where I needed it then go pack to SKSE and play the game just fine.
