Steel Fang

There is a dog named Steel Fang that lives in the Blackwood Company Hall in Leyawiin. At a certain point in the Fighters' Guild questline, he ends up with no one around to take care of him, wandering around alone in the building. He is not hostile and is a sweet dog, just wandering around in there, wagging his tail and occasionally sitting and barking.

I put out several plates on the floor with an assortment of meats for him to nibble on, but it bothers me that he's stuck there all by himself with no one to take him for walks or otherwise care for him.

I would love to lead him to a nicer location but I can't seem to get him to follow me outside. Command Creature works on him but I guess the AI doesn't follow you through doors. Has anyone else figured out a solution for this poor dog's life? I try to stop by and visit him every so often and make sure he still has plenty to eat (he never eats it), and there is apparently no such thing as a water dish in Oblivion.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I'd move in the currently empty building to take care of him but the beds seem to be owned by the former occupants, who have vacated the premises, feet first.

According to the UESP, "Steel Fang" is in the Construction Set, but not found in the game. I don't remember him (although it has been a long time since I did the FG quest line.)

Is it possible that a mod has activated him?

Edit: I looked it up, and apparently it was added with the UOP Supplemental.

Poor Doggy.

What you might be able to do is using the console and do the disable and enable command and move him to your house.

I do not know if someplace else might consider the dog as an enemy.

Well, I tried. I used MoveTo Player to move him to Skingrad. I was going to put him up in Rosethorn Hall and hire Eyja to take care of him. However, his AI seems to be like horses - no matter where you move him, he wants to go back home to Leyawiin and will either sit by the door, or if allowed out will walk (very slowly) all the way there, blocked by any gates he might encounter.

So I took him back home. I presume it would take a minor mod to change where his "home" location is. I'll just ask the members of the Leyawiin Fighter's Guild to take him for walks and make sure he is fed. I'm the guild Master, so I guess that's not too much to ask of them.
