Your Dream Bethesda Game

What's your dream Bethesda game?

Mine would be an open world RPG set in Japan during The Warring States period. I would like to be a lowly samurai working my way up the ranks in service to my daimyo, or a village blacksmith perfecting my craft, or maybe even a :ninja: !

So what's yours my fellow forumites? :)

A faithful Daggerfall sequel. The game was good, but it had so much potential destroyed because of the great direction Morrowind took.

A hardcoe role-playing sandbox adventure. Basically what we have now is a sandbox adventure but I kinda want the role-playing element which Bethesda games severely have been lacking recently. Removal of easy/veryeasy options and make normal a minimum (allowing the developers to build for one set play style while allowing players the option to make it harder (thus not breaking experience)). More choice and consequence (required heavily). More skill-perk base with choice/consequence built into that system while making it so one play through can't have everything. More dialogue and characterization. I would be happy with just those, and I don't really want to make a giant list.

Something akin to Daggerfall. I was really disappointed with Morrowind.

I'm the totally opposite from you, I love Morrowind but was disappointed in Daggerfall . My idea Bethesda game would have to be http://www.justpushstart.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/teso.jpg.

Well I played Daggerfall first, didn't like the streamlining Morrowind brought.

Morrowind (and two expansions) with

  • best possible graphics today
  • more options (mounts, mounted combat, more skills, etc)
  • improved combat
  • voice overs for all the available dialogue (in addition to text, not instead)
  • more areas, including access to areas of other four games (how cool would it be to raid in Oblivion and then strut in Ebony armor when fighting Dagoth Ur?)

I'd be quite content with Oblivion minus all the bugs. And FCOM as standard. And beards.

World design by Bethesda, storyline and quests by Obsidian, and cinematics and quality control by Blizzard

Imagine, a Bethesda game, where the writing is GOOD! Where you actually care about the story, the characters, the outcome of quests and ten times the sweet rolls.

WARNING: HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS THIS IS GOING TO GO BEYOND CRAZY

My Dream Bethesda game would be built like a regular TES game but it takes place mainly on 3 whole worlds during 3 different times while taking place in 3 different dimensions. So there would be space travel, time travel and dimensional travel in a TES RPG. It would have elements of Scifi, Fantasy, Steam punk, Cyber punk, and Modernism.
