So I bought Fallout 3 GOTY on steam the other day, installed it, and when I ran the game from steam, the launcher came up. I click the Play button, the launcher closes, but the game never runs. I've noticed that when I hit Play, the word "Syncing" appears next to the game in my Steam library. My computer can easily handle the game, as I run Skyrim on Ultra and ESO on ultra as well. I've researched all that I can and have found no exact situations that have a fix for it. Any help would be great.

Follow all the steps in that sticky that resolves most of the issues?

Do you have an intel video card or dual video cards.

Please give us the specs for your system. Just stating Skyrim can run on Ultra does not mean that Fallout 3 will run.

Best to do is the dxdiag.exe and post in spoiler tags the results.

Did you install any mods?
