Only if you are willing to deal with the Steam crap. (I'm an anti-Steam person, so ye'h...). Then sure, go right ahead.

If you are like me and do not like Steam then no.

Gods, yes! Mods, especially the unofficial patches, console commands, better graphics, less lags and random freezes... Go for it. Now.
