I know this might be better-suited to the Technical sub-forum, but it's not really an "issue", and is a bit more CK related (in terms of what I want), so I thought here might be the best.
Where I live, unfortunately, the internet is pretty terrible and slow; last time I installed Skyrim, it literally took around ten hours to download everything :/ Right now, I have a completely clean back-up of Skyrim on my PC, with just the fully-updated Skyrim, the CK and the Official DLC.
What I'm wondering is, is there a way I can use this to "install" Skyrim on my laptop, without going through that tedious ten-hour download thing? When I got my new PC, I tried using an old back-up, installing Skyrim and copying the files to the normal directory, and asking Steam to verify everything, but it still insisted on the download... So, did I do something wrong, or is there some other method of doing what I want? Or am I just going to be stuck waiting for the next ten hours?
Obviously it's the CK I specifically want, since I doubt my Laptop could play Skyrim too well, but it would be handy to be able to Mod when I'm not at my Desktop.
