Vsync is off and physics go wild (check my load order)

I bought Skyrim: Legendary Edition and installed countless mods today. Already in the main menu I noticed the game was running at uncapped frame rate (144Hz -FRAPS). When I started new game my Skyrim instantly fell apart and horse-drawn wagon was spinning in the air. How do I enable Vsync?

Nexus Mod Manager also crashed during the installation process.

With a monitor that has a refresh rate higher than 60Hz, you need to cap the frame rate at 60 or less with something like Afterburner or one of the many other utilities.

In the Stock Launcher, (not the one you get with SKSE) you should be able to enable Vsync in the Advanced section. Or, you can do this:

you edit skyrimprefs.ini and change the value of iPresentInterval to 1. iPresentInterval is under the Display section.

It is best to also clamp the game to less than 60FPS (ideally less than 54 to 56 FPS, mine is set to 48). The Sutter Reducer, which is what I use has been updated recently, I think the Skyrim version has been updated if not it will be). However I use the original one just fine. You need to run the Stutter Reducer once to get the config file so you can clamp the frame rates. Other people use MSI Afterburner, but I don't like using a third party program, I would rather use an in game tool, even if it's provided through SKSE.

Go into your Graphics Card's control panel, and look for VSYNC. If you have a Nvidia card, in the GPU control panel, go under "games" --> Skyrim, and enable VSYNC that way [which will only enable it for Skyrim]

Since you have a 144hz monitor, look for the "Enable - VSYNC - Half Refresh Rate". This will cap your rate for Skyrim around ~144/2 = 72, which should be fine.

In his case, the uncapped frame rates have nothing to do with the refresh rate of his monitor. Some newer monitors and the 3D monitors can have a higher refresh rate. Usually this is 120, but I have seen some 240's. These higher refresh rates are to support 3D more than anything else. Not sure what happens with those higher refresh rates and the Physics.

The problem exists because the cells are rendered at the refresh rate, naturally, but when the physics calculations are made with a higher game refresh rate than the monitors, then things are rendered out of place for the frame. This is when things start flying around and NPCs run around like Keystone cops.

Can you fix your mod load order too. Update.esm and the Unofficial Patches are not loading correctly and should really crash your game. Use BOSS or LOOT for sorting.
