Ideas for new games

- this was originally going to be a letter to Bethesda studios but I never have the time to post it so here it is as a forum post sorry if it sounds wired -

Before I begin I shall state that this message's intention in not insult, annoy or in any way tell them how to do their job. The only reason I am writing this letter is to state my personal opinions (and some of my friends opinions) on the elder scrolls series future.

The idea begins with you on an imperial ship heading around the country of Blackmarsh to dock at Morrowind where everything will be unloaded. I mentioned you on a ship or to be more accurate you were a stow away but you got caught and are locked in the ships hold. I think that the captain coming in to question you would be a good moment for the character selection. Now after the character is made, this is where things become different. There is a few choices of what could happen next my personal favourite would be once the character has been made the captain is interrupted by either by shouting up on deck and a huge wave hitting the ship or, and I’m sort of swinging towards this, a huge sea monster rises from the ocean destroying the ship this could be the introduction to the game and the tutorial in one but the ship would have to be quite big. Either way the ship is destroyed and swepted out into open water or so you think your character wakes up on the beach by a wreak of a ship, the one you were on, from there you can guess what is going to happen I reckon but I will explain a bit more just because I can. Being near the wreak you search for survivors and find one, the only one left, the rest can be dead or alive. I haven’t thought about it in a lot of detail but I think the survivor should be a cabin boy who can tell you things like where the ship is going. After this I haven’t thought of anything good that especially fits with the elder scrolls theme.

I wrote that you will be in a new place because as far as I am aware there if no known continents apart from Tamriel and Akavir so what you could do is make a new continent past an ocean to the south east thus making more areas to explore.

My friend also has an idea but I am not sure if it is good, he thinks you should bring the Dwemer back to life. The Dwemer where meant to be advanced beyond the other races, so they could have travelled farther. My friend thinks that a good idea is to change where there from and make it that they came from across the sea like some of the other races, to make it still fit he suggests that the Dwemer came so long ago that the people of Tamriel don’t remember that they came from anywhere else. His idea is that the Dwemer changed leaders who then cut them off from the main land of Tamriel saying that they were no longer allowed to have contact with them. This sort of contradicts the idea of the Dwemer dying out but I think that it could work if you say that while most came back to this new continent some stayed and these are the Dwemer believed to have died out due to separation from their people. Both I and he have not considered any more for this game idea, we don’t want to take their job now would we.

This is going to be locked. There are two threads where you can post this:

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1499423-tes-vi-location-and-setting-speculation-4/

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1499088-official-beyond-skyrim-tes-vi-35/

And I really hope they'll never bring the Dwemer back to life.
