What a mature conclusion.
What a mature conclusion.
Whereas when I ordered snails I was immature enough to think I was being sophisticated by doing so.
I'm not suggesting anyone should order snails or that they are missing out by not doing so, I just think the common dislike of snails by people happy to eat shell fish is somewhat illogical
If on the other hand like Colonel Martyr you avoid shellfish too well theres good reasons why shellfish aren't kosher
I'm a wuss. I can't bring myself to eat that stuff.
I'm looking all over youtube for a decent and short smh video, but I cannot find one. lol
this thread is quickly becoming spam...
What didn't i eat today.. well, I didn't eat.. so everything i guess?
Guys! Read the op! The title is just there to be as amusing as it is clever, it's supposed to be a thread about foods you wouldn't eat. FOODS YOU WOULD NOT EAT!
Not a rearranged post about what you did eat, not spunk[wtf].
Exotic delicacies! For example fried spider is a wellknown delicacy I would not be able to eat.
It's a cultural thing. I used to eat snails when I was younger, but I was also born in a foreign country. Now, I won't touch the stuff. I've eaten abalone before in a Chinese restaurant. I recall it was a gray lump of flesh with a weird, chalky taste.
Steak and kidney, liver and onions, calf brain all delicious
The above and bacon sandwiches and veal are my only regrets since becoming veggie
Same, I find 'tongue' or 'brain' dishes to be a disgusting thought. Tripe sounded appealing until I discovered it was sheep stomach and now I don't want to try it ever.
Anglo, you need to stop being mean to that poor Moog girl. You're picking on her for no reason calling her names and it's not very nice.
is a mod deleting posts? because I keep seeing quotes on the first page, but for the life of me can't find the post being quoted..
Don't think I've had any tongue but tripe , black pudding, haggis etc were all fine with me
Bunny. Most of the threads on this forum are spam. As long as they don't spark conversation that can lead to a passionate debate, or hurt anyone's emotion bones, it's fine.
I love these forums, and would never purposefully spam them with crap.
I was watching this TV show one time...
http://www.seriouseats.com/2010/05/andrew-zimmern-uncovers-arizonas-most-bizarre.html
Then there was this other show where they guy ate cooked pig [censored] and said it tasted like..well..[censored]
I've had tongue. It was covered in some thick cream sauce with onions, I think. Then, when someone told me it was tongue, I think I gagged.
Why bother cooking it? Was he afraid it would make him sick if he ate it raw?
I'll tell you what I won't be eating tonight... dinner! Blach, the pack rat really did me in.
It was the tradition of the people he was eating it with. Now I've got nothing against other peoples traditions and whatnot but...I just couldn't do it.
ha, Yea, Looking at that pack rat reminded me of the lovely rats we have over here in NY...and the thought of eating one..it's too much.
No to packrat. I can't even eat certain traditional foods of my own people. I won't eat a rat.
Acually I've had escargot and it's quite delicious. Granted it's got seasonings and some cheese but it wasn't overloaded with those things.
Funny the thread should kick off with this. Early in the week a watched a number of YouTube videos of people eating the world's current hottest pepper, the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carolina_Reaper. I'd provide video links but some pretty gross stuff goes on in those videos.
I didn't eat any pavement or dirt today. That's always a plus.
