A few questions about the Tsaesci

I've been doing some reading on Akavir and it's given me a hankering to do some fan fiction. I want to write a story in the form of a journal written by a Breton field researcher exploring the Tsaesci lands in Akavir a few years prior to the invasion by the Tamriel empire. I understand that there is a lot of conflicting information on the Tsaesci and Akavir in general and more still that is unknown. But there's a few things I want to be sure about before I feel comfortable proceeding with my story. I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask the loremongers to be sure.

First, is there any information on the geography in the Tsaesci regions; specifically anything about the climate? I've always pictured it as a kind of jungle but some things I read suggest they also have harsh winters(at least in certain areas) which conflicts with that assumption.

Also what is the likelihood that any of the Akaviri understand Cyrodiilic or vice-versa? It's been hundreds of years since any significant contact has been made with the people of Akavir so I can't help but picture any knowledge of the other's language dieing out. I'm thinking I may have my Breton be a historian of sorts who may have studied the Akaviri languages from books but I'm not sure how likely it is that books like that would even exist. If anything I'm guessing he'd only have a rudimentary knowledge of the language making speaking and understanding it difficult, but not impossible.

I guess those are my only questions for now.
